Shanghai, Paris, April 28, 2025. – Shanghai Putailai New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Putailai” or the “Company”) signed a “Joint-Development Agreement” (JDA) with Blue Solutions on April 24, 2025. Leveraging Putailai’s strengths in raw material supply and production equipment, combined with Blue Solutions’ strong technological expertise in solid-state batteries, the two parties will jointly develop optimized materials and process equipment for next-generation (4th-generation) solid-state batteries.

I. Background of the Agreement

• Since 2023, Putailai has established localized sales and service teams in Europe and other international regions to respond more effectively to global customer demands, while Blue Solutions has signed not less than 6 joint-development agreements with potential customers covering multiple mobility and consumer segments.
• The solid-state battery is recognized as one of the most promising avenues towards improved safety and high performance. Blue Solutions is the only company in the world to manufacture solid-state-battery systems, and it has been doing so since 2011. Blue Solutions focuses on the development, manufacturing, and sales of rechargeable lithium solid-state batteries and possesses extensive experience in integrating battery systems into mobility devices, public transportation, and stationary energy storage systems.
• With Putailai’s technical expertise in lithium battery automation equipment and its comprehensive footprint in key battery materials, both parties have agreed to leverage their respective technologies and resources to jointly develop optimal materials and manufacturing processes for solid-state batteries and to deliver against the backdrop of an increasing demand for high autonomy, safe and durable e-mobility.

II. Scope of Collaboration

Following the signing of this agreement, Putailai and Blue Solutions will work closely together, combining their technological capabilities and industry experience to innovate in battery materials, coordinate supply chains, and jointly develop and adapt equipment for solid-state lithium-metal battery manufacturing. The two main objectives of the JDA are:

• Innovation in Materials and Supply Chain Coordination Putailai will provide Blue Solutions with key components including binders, active materials, and current collectors etc.. In addition, Putailai will develop customized materials based on Blue Solutions’ technical needs to ensure competitiveness in both technology and market performance.
• Development and Adaptation of Solid-State Battery Equipment For all processes related to the production of solid-state lithium-metal batteries, the parties will jointly upgrade existing equipment and/or develop new machinery to support world-class manufacturing.
